Wellness Retreats 2026

Weekend & Half Day Wellness Retreats in Fermanagh & Tyrone, Northern Ireland, with Forest Bathing, qigong, yoga, meditation, mindfulness and sound baths...

Retreat yourself!

Wellness Retreats by Being Zen Holistic Health, including wellness retreats for women, weekend retreats and half-day forest bathing retreats featuring qigong, yoga, meditation, mindfulness and sound baths, run throughout the year, both independently and in collaboration with other retreat centres in Northern Ireland, primarily in Fermanagh and Tyrone. All of the retreats that Fiona is hosting, or involved in, are listed below. Forest Bathing Retreats by Being Zen Holistic Health encourage us to spend more time outdoors, experiencing our surroundings in fresh and innovative ways, exploring our connection with the Earth and developing our appreciation of our home planet. All forest bathing retreats provide much needed opportunities for digital detox. Gift vouchers are available for both of the BZHH signature forest bathing retreats, featuring forest bathing activities, qigong, yoga, guided meditation and relaxation, and Sound Baths. These retreats also include a simple but wholesome vegetarian lunch.

Find your inner wild!

Fiona currently runs two signature Being Zen Holistic Health half day Wildness and Wellness retreats in Knockmany Forest Park in the Clogher Valley, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, just 2 miles from Augher, 14 miles from Omagh and 24 miles from Enniskillen. Knockmany Forest Park is also approximately a one hour drive from Belfast city centre. These retreats include the relaxing and easygoing "Wildness & Wellness: Relax, Restore & Reconnect" which runs from spring to early autumn, and "Wildness & Wellness: Calm & Connect" which runs from late autumn and through the winter months.

Wildness and Wellness retreats bring nature and wellness together, aiming to encourage more people into wild spaces and experience the benefits thereof.

If you would like to stay overnight in the area, Corick House Hotel and Spa, Clogher, and The Valley Hotel in Fivemiletown are both located an easy distance from Knockmany Forest Park, at 1.2 miles and 8.5 miles respectively. There are also many other accommodation options from which to choose in the local area.

All other retreats listed below are run in collaboration with other retreat centres.

If you already have a group of people and would like Being Zen to facilitate a retreat exclusively for your group and tailored to your needs, you can contact Fiona to request this.

£50/€60pp

AVAILABLE!

Join Fiona for a gentle half day retreat - from 12pm to 430pm - in the hills and forests of the beautiful Knockmany Forest Park in the lovely Clogher Valley, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland - with a focus on relaxation, restoration and renewal, and suitable for most fitness levels. Explore and enjoy flowing qigong, guided meditation, an easygoing forest walk, forest bathing and a sound bath in this beautiful location. Simple vegetarian lunch included. Places are limited to 8 people to ensure everyone's comfort and safety, and can be secured by paying a £20 or €25 deposit. Sensible shoes, comfortable, cosy clothing and a rain coat and waterproof trousers are recommended for the forest walk and forest bathing. Much of this retreat will be held outdoors, weather permitting, encouraging and enabling us to reconnect with Nature. This retreat offers the perfect opportunity to switch off your mobile phone for a few hours to enjoy and benefit from a digital detox!

Introduction, Booking and Retreat Schedule

INTRODUCTION:

This is a gentle retreat which aims to be accessible to all. Qigong is an older form of Tai Chi and is gentle on the body, with a focus on flowing movements,  breathing and visualisation. The forest walk is also, for this retreat, largely on the level.  There are a few forest bathing and outdoor meditation options, weather permitting, and one of these involves a short but steep incline; this option could be chosen only if all present are sufficiently able bodied. We will be outdoors as much as possible, and for as many activities as possible; however, the Retreat Room is available for the duration of the retreat as needed. It is recommended that guests wear comfortable clothing and bring outdoor clothes and shoes, including raincoat and waterproof trousers, so that some of the activities can continue outdoors even in the event of some rain.

BOOKING:

An optional deposit of £20 or €25, payable by bank transfer or Revolut, will guarantee your place on this retreat, with the balance payable on arrival at the retreat. It is not necessary to pay the advance deposit, but priority places are given to those who do choose to reserve a place in this way. This deposit is fully refundable up until 7 days before the event, whereupon it becomes non-refundable, but remains fully transferable to any other Being Zen half day event.

RETREAT SCHEDULE:

The retreat schedule will look something like this, but may be adapted to some degree to make the most of the weather conditions on the day and the fitness level of the group as a whole:

12pm - Meet at Knockmany Forest Park, located 2 miles from Augher in County Tyrone, in the "Retreat Room" beside the car park. This facility is all ground floor, has public toilets, and the Retreat Room has large windows looking out towards the Forest and double doors which open out onto a covered outdoor area. There is a large car park with ample space for parking. Guests are welcome to have tea/coffee. Black tea and a selection of herbal teas will be provided, as well as milk and sugar.

1215pm - Qigong - indoors or out, possibly at the Anya's Grave viewpoint, depending on the weather and on how able bodied the group. In any case, we have several lovely spots close to  the  Retreat Room in Knockmany from which to choose for our qigong!

115pm - Simple and light vegetarian lunch and tea/coffee. Any food sensitivities should be mentioned at time of booking.

145pm - After lunch clean up.

2pm - Guided Meditation and Sound Bath.

245pm - Walk and Forest Bathing.
