Weekend & Half Day Retreats in Fermanagh & Tyrone, Northern Ireland

Retreat yourself!

Retreats by Being Zen Holistic Health, including weekend and half day yoga, qigong and wellness retreats, run throughout the year, both independently and in collaboration with other retreat centres in Northern Ireland, primarily in Fermanagh and Tyrone. All of the retreats that Fiona is hosting or involved in are listed below. Retreats by Being Zen Holistic Health typically include various yoga styles - including Hatha Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga - qigong, guided meditation, forest walks, forest bathing, mindfulness and sound baths, and provide opportunities for digital detox.

Fiona currently runs 3 signature Being Zen Holistic Health half day Wildness and Wellness retreats in Knockmany Forest Park in the Clogher Valley, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, just 2 miles from Augher. These retreats include the relaxing and easygoing "Wildness & Wellness: Relax, Restore & Reconnect" which runs from spring to early autumn, "Wildness & Wellness: Calm & Connect" which runs from late autumn and through the winter months, and the comparatively more strenuous "Wildness & Wellness: Hiking, Qigong & Meditation" which runs at intervals throughout the year.

For those who may like to stay overnight in the area, Corick House Hotel and Spa, Clogher, and The Valley Hotel in Fivemiletown are both located an easy distance from Knockmany Forest Park, at 1.2 miles and 8.5 miles respectively.

All other retreats are run in collaboration with other retreat centres.

Retreat Payment Options

"Relax, Restore & Reconnect"

Sunday 24th May 2026

£40/pp

FEW SPACES REMAINING!

Join Fiona for a gentle half day retreat - from 12pm to 430pm - in the hills and forests of the beautiful Knockmany Forest Park in the lovely Clogher Valley, County Tyrone, with a focus on relaxation, restoration and renewal, and suitable for all fitness levels. Explore and enjoy flowing qigong, guided meditation, an easygoing forest walk, forest bathing and a sound bath in this beautiful location. Simple vegetarian lunch included. Places are limited to 12 people and can be secured by paying a 25% deposit. Sensible shoes, comfortable, cosy clothing and a rain coat and waterproof trousers are recommended for the forest walk and forest bathing. Much of this retreat will be held outdoors, weather permitting, encouraging and enabling us to reconnect with Nature.

Introduction, Booking and Retreat Schedule

INTRODUCTION:

This is a gentle retreat which aims to be accessible to all. Qigong is an older form of Tai Chi and is gentle on the body, with a focus on flowing movements,  breathing and visualisation. The forest walk is also, for this retreat, largely on the level.  There are a few forest bathing and outdoor meditation options, weather permitting, and one of these involves a short but steep incline; this option could be chosen only if all present are sufficiently able bodied. (If you are interested in a more active hiking element, take a look at Wildness & Wellness: Hiking, Qigong & Meditation.) We will be outdoors as much as possible, and for as many activities as possible; however, the Retreat Room is available for the duration of the retreat as needed. It is recommended that guests wear comfortable clothing and bring outdoor clothes and shoes, including raincoat and waterproof trousers, so that some of the activities can continue outdoors even in the event of some rain.

BOOKING:

An optional 25% deposit of £10, payable by bank transfer or Revolut, will guarantee your place on this retreat, with the balance payable on arrival at the retreat. It is not necessary to pay the advance deposit, but priority places are given to those who do choose to reserve a place in this way. This deposit is fully refundable up until 7 days before the event, whereupon it becomes non-refundable, but remains fully transferable to any other Being Zen half day event.

RETREAT SCHEDULE:

The retreat schedule will look something like this, but may be adapted to some degree to make the most of the weather conditions on the day and the fitness level of the group as a whole:

12pm - Meet at Knockmany Forest Park, located 2 miles from Augher in County Tyrone, in the "Retreat Room" beside the car park. This facility is all ground floor, has public toilets, and the Retreat Room has large windows looking out towards the Forest and double doors which open out onto a covered outdoor area. There is a large car park with ample space for parking. Guests are welcome to have tea/coffee. Black tea and a selection of herbal teas will be provided, as well as milk and sugar.

1215pm - Qigong - indoors or out, possibly at the Anya's Grave viewpoint, depending on the weather and on how able bodied the group. In any case, we have several lovely spots close to  the  Retreat Room in Knockmany from which to choose for our qigong!

115pm - Simple and light vegetarian lunch and tea/coffee. Any food sensitivities should be mentioned at time of booking.

145pm - After lunch clean up.

2pm - Guided Meditation and Sound Bath.

245pm - Walk and Forest Bathing.

4pm approx. - Close.
