Being Zen Yoga

Yoga can promote physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing. It can help to clear energy blockages, balance chakras, and enhance overall wellbeing. Fiona began her own yoga journey 30 years ago during her first pregnancy and now teaches Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga and Hatha Vinyasa Flow Yoga as a 200 hour registered yoga teacher (200RYT) to both groups and individuals, in person and online (upon request). Fiona's daughter, Oren, is also a yoga teacher, and together they share different yoga styles and flavours in the community, predominantly in the Fermanagh and Tyrone area. Fiona also teaches yoga on retreats, both independently and in collaboration with other retreat centres.

Fiona and Oren enjoy teaching Chair Yoga to older people, witnessing the benefits it brings them, physically, socially and in terms of increased mobility, confidence and body awareness. Chair Yoga is also very beneficial for office workers, students and during pregnancy. These chair based exercise classes draw on yoga, Tai Chi Qigong and general exercises to create an all-rounded, well-balanced class suitable for everyone.

Restorative Yoga is deeply relaxing and fantastic for anxiety and stress management, while Slow Flow Yoga is simultaneously relaxing and meditative while also gently improving mobility and flexibility, alongside energising the whole body.

Fiona and Oren also offer specially designed yoga classes for horse riders, with a focus on stretching and strengthening. Both have horse riding experience, and Oren is a fully qualified horse riding instructor registered with the British Horse Society (BHS). They understand the particular needs of horse riders and are also conscious of how many horse riders pay lots of attention to the physical needs of their horse while neglecting their own!

As a personal yoga trainer (PYT), Fiona offers individual yoga classes at £25 per session. Home visits can be arranged upon request. Fiona also makes bespoke yoga videos to target your specific health issues or areas of the body. For example, Fiona can teach you a bespoke Sun Salutations class, or a class focusing on hip opening, spinal mobility, or stretching for runners.

Fiona is currently training to become a 500 hour registered yoga teacher (500RYT). Both Fiona and Oren are registered with Yoga Alliance.
