First, think clearly about what you want to create in your life. You might want to use the SMART goal setting tool at this point (more on that in another blog post). Write it down, keep it clear and simple, and see if you can encapsulate it in just one or two sentences. Then adapt what you have written just a little bit by placing "I am grateful for" at the beginning of what you wrote. So, if you wrote, I want to go on a holiday for 2 weeks in July to Valencia, Spain, adjust it to "I am grateful to be going on a holiday for 2 weeks in July to Valencia, Spain." Gratitude is important here, because we typically feel grateful when something has already happened! Once you have crafted your desire in this way, write it down 3 times first thing every morning, 6 times during the day and 9 times at bedtime. This is called the 369 rule. As well as this, throughout your day, think of ways to make your upcoming holiday more real. In other words, begin to prepare for it! Perhaps you can begin to think about what you will need to bring with you. Write a list, or begin to pack. Buy a beach towel or new swimwear. Think about it as if it's a fact: I will need sunscreen in Spain, and a pair of sandals. Go about the business of planning your trip and preparing all the details based on the assumption that you will be going and all this information will be needed when the time is right. What you are doing is keeping your goal present in your consciousness, and you are acting as if your goal is already achieved, feeling grateful for it and setting the wheels of creation in motion.
In the early days of manifesting, you might like to build up your confidence and experiment with little changes, such as creating more time for yourself, or more social opportunities with friends, quality time with your family and then watch yourself create! And remember, creation happens in 3 phases or steps: thought, word and deed. So, think about it, write it down and talk about it, and find ways to act upon it. And watch yourself manifest!
